Life lessons.. i am in a stage where i am trying to take everything i have learned in my years and turn it into what makes me, me. I am in the process of depicting which road to go down and which ones are dead ends. For some reason i have ran down many wrong roads leading to no where or somewhere i didn't want to be in the first place.. although, i definately have no regrets for anything that i have ever done. I will try ANYTHING once~ Life is short and I try live each day like it could be my last. But i still keep a eye on tomorrow..The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive. LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY EACH BREATH WE TAKE, BUT BY THE MOMENTS THAT TAKE OUR BREATH AWAY.

Kaila Yu

R&B singer/songwriter Kaila Yu loves performing. This savvy artist has developed a three-pronged career in music, modeling, and acting, successfully merging her talents into one charismatic package. A native of Taipei, Taiwan, Kaila moved to Southern California at the age of three, and began performing soon afterward. In addition to studying music, she toured as part of a Chinese Folk Dance group and developed an interest in production. In college at UCLA, Kaila took voice lessons, joined the choir, and eventually won the lead role in a musical called "No Turning Back". The play led to Kaila's first professional singing gig - and steeled her passion and determination to produce her own music.

In March, 2002, Kaila recorded and released her first single, "Our Last Night", produced by Bruno Talledo. Creatively marketing in tandem with her modeling gig, Kaila sold 3,000 copies of the single, and opened up for rap artist Coolio at the Import Extreme Car Show in Honolulu, Hawaii in June, 2002. She also had two tracks on the Bay Area hit Import Jams, one of the #1 selling CDs in the Bay Area.

Kaila's 2003 debut album, "Kaila", showcases her sweet and soulful voice with 12 R&B/Pop/Hip-Hop songs, featuring infectious hooks, Asian flourishes, and solid, professional production. The tracks were produced by track master Mr. Lew (B2K, IMX Projects) and mixed by The Gubnah (Vanessa Williams). Kaila acted as Executive Producer for the project, as well as writing or co-writing most of the songs.

Her future plans include broadening her international appeal by releasing music in her native tongue, Mandarin. Kaila's acting credits include "Dark Blue", a feature film with Kurt Russell and Scott Speedman, and "Jade Buddha", a soap opera airing in China.

Kaila has had a long career in front of the camera as one of the top models in the import industry. Appearing in Stuff Magazine, FHM magazine and on the cover of Import Tuner, Dsport, House of Roses, Image Monthly and RIX Magazine she went on to executive produce her own album in 2003. She went on to perform at venues across the country and performed in Canada and London. For her second album she has teamed up with Embryo, a up and coming young producer whose beats are often confused with the Neptunes and Scott Storch. Embryo's production truly captures Kaila's dark, moody, yet sexual vibe. Meanwhile, check out the cd and some samples tracks right now at www.KailaPop.com

Krys Ivory

Krys Ivory, a.k.a. Kristina, grew up surrounded by musical influences; the most special being her father, Pastor Hilary Clay Hicks, who ran his own ministry on Sunset in North Hollywood. Singing in the church choir Krys learned to cultivate her talent by Praising her Creator and Friend, Jesus Christ. At the age of 4 young Krys would sing with her churches' Gospel choir and also perform for the homeless at her father's ministry. Later, she took her talent outside of the church by performing in talent show and wherever else she could perform. Because of the support of her mother, Betty Louise, she was able to win many competitions. Not only was she a talented singer, but she was also blessed with the gifts of writing, drawing, and acting. She used these gifts to their fullest capacity by performing in plays. Her mother, Betty, worked at the Boys and Girls Club of America in Pasadena where little Kristina could always be seen running around. She performed in many talent shows there, as well. It's also where she would write and perform songs with her friends. Today, she is taking her singing to a new level with the help of talented producer Dem Jointz (DJ). So far she has been privileged to work with The Frontliner'z, Scipio, Kila Krock, Marlon and Stix. She plans to collaborate with more artists in the future, as well as to continue thrive, while living out her dreams as a solo R&B artist.

See more of Krys Ivory in our Photo Gallery (Sleeptight pics), on our Audio page (listen to her music), and our Interview page (where she sings acappella!). She's not just a pretty face, sings too, People!
